Dr Francisco de Melo is a board certified Plastic Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience in plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgery in Portugal and the UAE. Before moving to Dubai in 2012, he was a Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Head of Surgery Department in the Military Hospital of Lisbon in Portugal.
Having graduated from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal, Dr Francisco de Melo’s credentials are recognised worldwide by the Ordem dos Medicos in Portugal, the Portuguese Ministry of Health (Consultant), the General Medical Council in the UK, the Dubai Health Authority (Consultant), Dubai Health Care City (Consultant) and Abu Dhabi Health Authority (Consultant).
Dr Francisco de Melo is a qualified medical trainer and a regular keynote speaker at international medical conferences. He is featured in various publications such as, Revista Cirugia Plástica Ibero-Latino Americana, Dermatology and Therapy. Dr Francisco de Melo is also a member of several national and international medical societies including International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), Portuguese Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SPCPRE) and Emirates Plastic Surgery Society (EPSS).

On a personal level, Dr Francisco de Melo is genuinely excited to be in Dubai as he finds its multicultural and cosmopolitan nature to be a great source of stimulation, inspiring him to develop and learn continuously. In his spare time, he enjoys being with family and friends, reading, personal development and sports.
